Technical details

How to use

1. Connect the handpiece to a compatible regulated compressed-air line.
2. Fill the fitted reservoir only with clean, dry, unclumped aluminium oxide powder.
3. Hold the unit like a pen and keep the nozzle approximately 2–10 mm from the target surface.
4. Use smooth, overlapping sweeping movements until the surface appears evenly etched and matte.
5. After use, clear residual abrasive from the nozzle, threads and reservoir connection.

Cleaning and sterilization

Remove the transparent powder reservoir and its filter before processing. Clear all abrasive residue before sterilization. The detachable nozzle may be steam sterilized at 134°C for 15 minutes, as stated in the supplied user manual. Follow your clinic’s validated infection-control protocol and the manual supplied with the unit.

Does this dental sand blaster need electricity?

No. It operates entirely on regulated pneumatic pressure from a suitable air compressor.

Which aluminium oxide powder can be used?

Use clean, dry, free-flowing white aluminium oxide. The manual lists 27 micron for polishing, 50 micron for bonding preparation and 90 micron for stubborn adhesive removal.

What compressor pressure is recommended?

The supplied manual specifies 40–100 psi (2.6–6.6 bar). Sandblasting performance can reduce below 60 psi.

Can the nozzle be autoclaved?

Yes. The detachable nozzle may be steam sterilized at 134°C for 15 minutes after all abrasive residue has been removed. Remove the transparent reservoir and filter first.

Is a warranty supplied?

Warranty is not applicable because the unit is pneumatic and has no motor or electrically driven moving parts.

Is aluminium oxide powder included?

No. Aluminium oxide powder, extra reservoirs, the compressor and air-line fittings must be arranged separately.
