Gold Cura Hard Dental Vacuum Forming Sheets, 1.5 mm are transparent, rigid thermoforming blanks for dentists, orthodontic practices and dental laboratories. The hard 1.5 mm profile is suited to workflows that require greater rigidity than a thin retainer sheet, including selected occlusal splints, bite plates and night-guard appliances. The clear sheet helps the operator inspect adaptation to the dental model during forming and finishing. Each pack contains 15 sheets.
Also known as: hard dental thermoforming sheets, rigid splint sheets, occlusal splint material, night-guard forming sheets, dental forming foils and vacuum-former blanks.

Typical dental applications
Depending on the prescribed design, occlusal scheme and validated laboratory protocol, a hard 1.5 mm sheet may be selected for:
- Rigid occlusal splints
- Bruxism or night-guard appliances
- Bite plates and stabilization splints
- Selected rigid protective dental appliances
The finished appliance must be formed, trimmed, finished and checked for fit by a trained dental professional or laboratory technician.
Why this format is useful
- Hard 1.5 mm profile: Offers a more substantial rigid blank than the 0.8 mm hard sheet for splint-oriented workflows.
- Transparent appearance: Helps visual inspection of model adaptation, margins and finished fit.
- Defined pack quantity: Fifteen sheets per pack simplifies clinic and laboratory stock planning.
- Clear product identification: Hardness, thickness and quantity are stated separately to reduce ordering errors.
How to use dental vacuum forming sheets
- Select the required hard or soft sheet and thickness for the prescribed appliance.
- Prepare a clean, dry dental cast and block out undercuts where the fabrication protocol requires it.
- Secure one sheet in a compatible dental vacuum-forming or thermoforming machine.
- Heat only according to the machine and material instructions; heating time and temperature are not universal.
- Form the softened sheet over the model using the machine's vacuum cycle.
- Allow the formed sheet to cool fully before removing it from the cast.
- Trim, contour and smooth the appliance edges, then verify fit before clinical delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Are these finished dental appliances?
No. These are thermoforming blanks used to fabricate a custom appliance on a dental model. Forming, trimming, finishing and fit verification must be completed by an appropriately trained dental professional or laboratory technician.
Can a formed sheet be reused?
No. Each blank is intended for one fabrication cycle; a sheet that has already been formed should not be reheated for another patient appliance.
Will these sheets fit every vacuum-forming machine?
Machine frames and accepted sheet formats vary. Check your machine specifications and the product images, or contact Gold Cura before ordering if compatibility is uncertain.
Do all dental appliances use the same hardness and thickness?
No. Hardness and thickness affect rigidity, flexibility and the type of appliance that can be produced. Select them according to the prescribed appliance design and validated laboratory protocol.
